This year’s plan!

February is almost at an end and here at Katie Victoria we are looking forward to Spring time and the lighter evenings. Don’t you just love Summer time!

Over the past few weeks we have been planning out some things for the year ahead and actually thinking about Christmas once again! It’s a scary thought but planning shows, exhibitions and markets is a really important part of the calendar here at KV HQ! Here are some of the markets and shows we hope to be at during the year:

The Frome Independent – a bustling and very popular market down in the beautiful Frome, Devon. Every first Saturday of the month

Made by Hand – A wonderful show at the grand venue of City Hall in Cardiff. Early November 2019

Wealden Times Winter Fair – A new show for us at Katie Victoria but a renowned Christmas show in the beautiful rural Kent area.

We will keep you updated on these and other show and markets we have booked, so that you can keep up to date on our whereabouts.

It’s also time to start working on some new designs and colour ways for the collections. Inspiration can come from anywhere in my mind – magazines, people watching, nature, architecture, paths and pavement patterns and grid structures, the list is endless. Colour is a very important part of our collections and key to what sells well or appeals to customers – we love pastels and pops of bright colour so looking through our yarn books is so exciting! There are so many possibilities with patterns in knitting so drawing out and repeating these shapes is super fun and quite mathematical.
