It’s a new year with new beginnings, and Katie Victoria has already been getting out there and meeting new people. To kick off 2019, we made the journey from Swansea to London to take part in the fabulous Top Drawer Trade Exhibition Spring/Summer 2019. It ran from the 13th to the 15th of January, hosted by Clarion Events and brought in a huge crowd of people hungry for the next new product to stock. The bright and modern venue at Olympia London was the perfect place for our creations, we were surrounded by other brilliant crafts, homewares and fashion.

The event was busy and an amazing space to share with other creators, as well as to exhibit our own Katie Victoria creations. There was everything to see, from fashion and crafts to food and interiors. We made some new connections during the event, including a number of new stockists who will soon have Katie Victoria designs available to purchase.

Our new stockists are:

  • The Longship in Orkney – where “island craftsmanship meets international” style, this shop is celebrating its 160th birthday this year
  • Country Mouse Gifts in Warminster – stockists of all things soft, from blankets to alpaca socks
  • Rosy and Tilly in Barton Upon Humber – a beautiful shop, full of light and lovely homewares and gifts

Look out for Katie Victoria at these locations! Making new friends is always exciting, especially when it means getting products into a new space for more people to enjoy.

Previous happy customers have also reordered from us, including our friends the Golden Sheaf Gallery in Narberth, West Wales. It’s a pleasure to have stockists return looking for more items to add to their stores. You can find stockists in the UK, Ireland and internationally too, including in Germany and Australia.

There’s almost a whole year still ahead, and the next steps for 2019 are for us to create some new designs. New yarns and colours are on the horizon and are sure to inspire some wonderful ideas. We love seeking out new inspiration for our creations, and there are plenty of ways to get it. While in London for Top Drawer, we spent some time visiting museums and gallery exhibitions, including at the Tate Modern and the V&A. There’s nothing like some art and history to get your creative gears in motion.

This year we are looking at trying out some new tactics to draw people in and raise awareness of the brand, these include sending items out to bloggers for review and offering monthly subscriptions too. Look out for opportunities if you’re a fan of Katie Victoria knitwear, accessories and homeware.

We always keep the calendar full with shows and events, so be sure to watch out for what we have planned next!
